Deadline for the current call for regular proposals for PETRA III is 1 September 2021 (until midnight local Hamburg time).
The next call for LTP and BAG proposals for selected beamlines will be opened mid-December 2021.

In the case where any of these dates falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the deadline will automatically move to the following Monday at midnight.

The ESRF is currently in full user operation with the new EBS source. Remote experiments are possible on all beamlines and experiments should be carried out remotely whever possible. In the case where onsite user presence is required, this is permitted up to a maximum of 3 onsite users per experiment. Restrictions are in place in France for travellers from certain countries, and in these cases onsite presence is not allowed. Updated information is available here.
Rapid access for COVID-19 related research
The ESRF is ready to provide rapid access to its facilities for COVID-19 related research projects, including the Cryo-EM electron-microscopy platform, the MASSIF-1 macromolecular X-ray diffraction beamline, and Partnership for Structural Biology facilities. This exceptional access will be granted with the aim to contribute to the international scientific effort to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline for the current call for proposals for FLASH is on 1 October 2021.
Due to the upcoming FLASH2020+ shutdown (from mid-November 2021 to mid-August 2022), this call relates to beamtime from November 2022 to June 2023. In order to facilitate a most efficient use of the FLASH beamtime it is expected that your own experimental setup, if provided, will be ready by November 2022.

The FELIX Laboratory is open for scientists from all over the world. You can apply for beam time by submitting a proposal. There are two deadlines each year: May 15 and November 15.
