Salle Argent is operating two small experiments related to solid-state physics.
The laser might be used to accelerate electrons up to few MeV in bunches of few femtoseconds and pc charge. The electrons have been used for electron diffraction (both static and on pump-probe experiments).
The second experiment is based on up-converting the laser thanks to the use of different OPA, in order to reach several µm of wavelengths for coherent excitation of matter.
