European Synchrotron Radiation Facility
ID16B - Nano Analysis Beamline

The beamline ID16B is a hard X-raynanoprobe providing a focused beam from 50 nm to 1 µm in an energy range from 6 to 33 keV. It offers a large panel of 2D/3D micro-analytical and phase contrastimagingtechniques: X-ray fluorescence, X-ray absorption, X-ray diffraction, X-ray excited optical luminescence, XBIC, magnified tomography. The experimental setup has been designed to accomodate specific in-situ environments (gas flow cell, furnace, cryostat).

It offers a high brillance nano-focused X-ray beam for 3D characterization and is opened to a large variety of scientific communities such as material sciences, earth and environmental sciences, life sciences, nanotechnology, etc...
