The BL13 (XALOC) beamline is devoted to Macromolecular Crystallography (MX), with an energy range suitable for MAD (multi-wavelength anomalous diffraction) on a wide range of elements. The diffractometer and the optics of the beamline allow the adaptation of the size and divergence of the beam to the crystal within a certain range. The experimental end-station is equipped with an automated sample changer with a capacity of 90 SPINE samples, which can also be used to diffract samples in situ (eg crystallization plates). The beamline will be open for remote access during 2016 and onwards.
