P64 is dedicated to X-ray absorption spectroscopy experiments, which require high flux. Among those are quick EXAFS (QEXAFS) on the 20-100ms time-scale, EXAFS of highly-diluted systems, e.g. bio-molecules with an active metallic center, and high-resolution spectroscopy with a dispersive fluorescence spectrometer in von-Hamos geometry. Other experiments, which require special set-ups and which profit from the high flux and small, focused beam, are also feasible and can be discussed with beamline staff.
Beamline P64 is located in the southern part of the PETRA III North Hall (P. P. Ewald Hall) close to the FLASH1 Hall.
